Autistic
enterocolitis is a term first used by British gastroenterologist Dr.
Andrew Wakefield to describe a number of symptoms that he believes to be
unique to those with Autism, including swelling of lymphoid lining in
intestines, inflammation of large intestines, constipation, diarrhea,
and pain often associated with food allergies including intolerance to
gluten and casein.
